I could sure use some feedback...Here, I am working with a painting in which I have added my "Boogaloo", fabric (I designed from another one of my original paintings) on Spoonflower.
If you take a look at an enlarged version of this painting you can see the detailed stitching and textile texture. The background is etched with the repetition of the the phrase "inner voice". What do you all think? should I embellish more--'cause, I can sure go there!!
In this piece I stitched a canvas before and after painting to add different levels of texture. Also, I left the thread to hang from the canvas. I love this effect, it really provide a nice dimension to the work. One thing you must remember when you are sewing on a painting is to go very, very slow and use a strong needle. I find going backwards seem to work better. Also putting a piece of masking tape on the bottom of of the sewing foot help with a smooth run through the machine.
Boogaloo Fabric in 1" motif repeats is AVAILABLE at my Spoonflower shop.
